Getting Around

Commuter

Transportation in the UK is well-developed and offers various options for getting around. The iconic London Underground, commonly known as the "Tube," provides an extensive network of trains connecting different parts of the capital city. Buses, trams, and taxis are also readily available in urban areas. If you are traveling within London, it is highly recommended to get an Oyster Card, which allows you to scan in for the Tube, London buses, some trains and other methods of transport within London. Find out more info here.

For longer distances, the UK has an efficient rail network, and domestic flights connect major cities. It is recommended to book these in advance as traveling inter-city can be very expensive if left too late.
